Under the ‘Documents’ section in eCharts, you can view all of the documents tagged to the patient’s demographic from the inbox, fax or any other uploaded files.
1. Uploading a Document
Select the ‘+’ next the the document section of the patient’s eChart. This will open up a new window where all previously uploaded documents for the patient can be viewed and new documents added.
From here, select ‘Add Document’ → then choose the file you would like the upload through the ‘Choose File’ button and fill in the associated document information. Once finished, select ‘Add’.
The actions you can take on a document can be found to the far right of of it under the ‘Documents’ tab and are as shown below:
You can delete any document from the patient’s eChart.
This will open up the document preview window. From here you can edit the associated document information as well as other commands seen below.
You can attach notes to the document for future reference.
By selecting, you can attach a task to the demographic and assign it to someone to be completed.
