OneID is a provincial identity management system meant to give you access to multiple Health Ontario services using just one set of credentials.
To access eConsult through Avaros, you'll need a functioning OneID account. To learn more about how to get one, you can click here.
Linking Your OneID to Your Avaros EMR Account
Before using your OneID Account to send and receive eConsults from your Avaros EMR, you'll need to link your OneID and Avaros EMR accounts.
To do that, navigate to the Administration>User Management>Search/Edit/Delete Provider Records section and enter your OneID username in the corresponding field. (Or ask your Clinic Administrator, if you don't have Administrator access).
Note: If you use Avaros EMR at multiple clinics, make sure to link your OneID account to all the Avaros EMR accounts where you want eConsult enabled.
Signing into Avaros using OneID Single-Sign On
Once your OneID and Avaros EMR accounts have been linked, you can use your OneID credentials to sign on to your Avaros EMR account. Click the "Login With OneID" button on the login page, and you'll be redirected to the OneID login page, and then back again to your Avaros EMR account after you've successfully logged in.
