Opening the eChart
To access a patient's eChart, click the "E" which can be found on the appointment block or by searching for a patient under the "Add Patient" link.
The eChart is organized into three main sections: The left panel (1), Containing Medications, Allergies, Lab Tests, eForms, Forms, Documents, and important clinic information, the top panel (2) containing Cumulative Patient Profile (CPP) information, and the Encounter Note section (3).
To add to any of the CPP sections, click the "+" icon for the field that you would like to add to. Clicking on the existing text will allow you to edit as needed. To remove a section of text from a specific field, click the "Cut" icon as shown below:
To toggle between showing the left or top panel, you can click the "Hide Panel" buttons found in the top-right of the patient's eChart.
To add new items to the left panel, click on the "+" icon for the section that will be added to (e.g. Clicking "+" on the eForms section will open the eForm list).
To view or edit existing items, click on the name of the item listed to open it in a new window.

Adding an Encounter Note
Encounter notes can be typed directly into the encounter next available encounter note box at the bottom of the patient's roll of previous notes.
When you are finished adding or reviewing the patient's encounter, you can find the following options at the bottom-right of the encounter page:
Saves the current content of the encounter note.
2. New Note
Creates a new encounter note for this patient.
3. Sign & Save
Attaches your name to the encounter note and saves the current content.
4. Verify & Sign
Marks the current encounter note as "Verified" and attached your name to the current encounter note.
5. Sign, Save, & Bill
Attaches your name to the encounter note, saves the current content, and proceeds to the Billing page. Please see our Knowledge Base articles relating to "Billing" for more information.
Exits the patient's eChart without saving current note progress.
7. Print Notes
Allows you to select the type and date range of encounter notes to print.
Customizing the eChart View
Click the "Palette" icon in the top-right of the eChart to open the eChart Customization screen.
Here, you can drag and drop the order of modules on the left and CPP panels, as well as choose what colour each module should appear with.
Click "Save" at the bottom right of the screen to save customization changes. To restore the default settings, click "RESET TO DEFAULT" at the bottom of the Customization screen.
Please note: All eChart customization will only apply to the account that made those changes, it will not apply to other users' eChart views.
