Avaros' Fax Inbox allows you to manage all incoming faxes directly in your EMR. You can split, rotate, forward, and match faxes to a patient.
You can also monitor all of your outgoing faxes for failed transmissions and re-try them or forward them to another number.
For more details, check out the video below.
Checking Your Fax Inbox
The Fax Inbox can be accessed by clicking "Fax" at the top of the Avaros page.
Here, you'll be able to view received faxes, sent faxes, and details for each fax.
1. Inbox/Outbox/Junk
Selecting one of Inbox, Outbox, or Junk folders allows you to view your received faxes, sent faxes, or deleted faxes, respectively.
2. Inbox Fax Details and Options
This area is where fax details are displayed. At the right side of this section, you have the options of marking this fax as unread, forward this fax, move this fax to the Junk folder, and open the Faxed Document Settings.
3. Inbox Faxed Document Form
This form allows you to split fax pages to create multiple documents, assign document properties, and link the received fax with a patient demographic. Once document properties have been assigned, click "Forward to EMR" to add the documents to the patient's chart.
4. Page Preview Pane
This pane displays the currently selected page of the received fax and allows for easy navigation.
Managing Your Fax Outbox
When managing your sent faxes, you'll be presented with two colour-coded statuses indicating whether the fax has been successfully sent or the fax delivery has failed. In the example below, one fax has been successfully delivered (green), while the other has failed (red).
Clicking on the "Resend Fax" button will add this failed fax to the queue and attempt to deliver it again.
