Avaros' new schedule is real-time and automatically updates to reflect new appointments. In this article, we'll go over how to navigate through your clinic's schedules, how to manage appointments, and how to manage your schedule settings.
Navigating your schedule
On the top, right hand side of the schedule, you can navigate to a specific date using the Date Controls (1), switch the view to a Day, Week, List, or Month view (2), select a different Provider's schedule (3), or adjust your settings (4).
On the top left, you'll be able to search for patients by their name, date of birth, or health card number (5), or adjust the template for a given day on your schedule (6).

Managing Appointments
Avaros' new schedule makes managing your appointments in real-time across all users easier than ever. No more double-bookings, or patients left waiting to check-in. Now any changes made by a single user to the schedule are visible to all users instantly.
Creating Appoiuntments
To create a new appointment:
a) Make sure the correct provider's schedule has been selected. The provider's name is visible at the top of their schedule lane.
b) Double click in the time slot you'd like to create the apointment window. The "Create Appointment" modal will appear.
c) Search for the patient you would like to add in the "Demographic" search field. You can search by name fragments ("Las, First Name"), Date of Birth, or Health Card Number.
d) Select the appropriate Status, Type, and Reason for visit, then click "Create"
Updating or Deleting Appointments
To update or delete an existing appointment:
a) Double click on the appointment to open the "Update Appointment" view.
b) Make changes to the appointment, date, time, status, type, or reason, and then click "Update".
c) To delete an appointment click the "Delete" button and then confirm your choice.
d) You can also simply drag the appointment to a new slot or schedule lane from the main schedule view; or, click on the bottom edge of the appointment to re-size its duration.
Schedule Settings
Avaros' schedule module is customisable, and allows you to set individual provider preferences, and create group schedule views for groups of providers working together.
All settings can be access by clicking the settings icon at the top right of your schedule -
Individual Preferences
To adjust your preferences, click on the schedule setting icon - - then select "Preferences.
Here, you can set the following preferences:
a) Hide your schedule.
b) Set a default schedule - the individal or group schedule that will appear when you first login or refresh your page.
c) Set start time, end time and schedule interval
d) Select the days you want your schedule closed by default
e) Disable the confirmation prompt that appears when you re-schedule appointments
After updating your preferences, click "Update" to save your changes.
Schedule Groups
To manage your Schedule Groups, click on the Groups menu in your Settings. In the Groups view, you can see a list of your groups, and edit () or delete a group (
). You can also create a new schedule group from this view (
).
After creating a group, the new group will be visible in your provider selector on the main schedule page. Clicking the group from the provider list will open your schedule to that group's schedule lanes.
