Here you’ll learn some of the basics of booking appointments including:
- Creating Appointments

1. Creating Appointments
To create an appointment, double-click on a free time slot in the provider’s schedule and a ‘Create Appointment’ window will appear.
Search for a patient in the demographic search bar by: Name (Last, First), Date of Birth (YYYY-MM-DD) or OHIP Number.

Select the patient from the search bar and their demographic information will populate in the appointment window. Fill in remaining appointment details and select ‘Add Appointment’.
2. Updating Appointments
Double click on the appointment and the ‘Updating Appointment’ window will appear. You can update the appointment’s Date, Time, Status, Type, Reason etc. Select ‘Update’ in the bottom left to save your changes.
3. Moving Appointments
There are two ways you can move appointments within the schedule:
1. Click and Drag an Appointment;
Within the day view you can move an appointment to a new time, or within the week view, you can move the appointment to a new day and time.
💡 To turn off the ‘Update Appointment’ confirmation after moving an appointment, go to Schedule Settings → Schedule Preferences, select your name from the provider list and toggle on the ‘Disable Confirmation Prompt for Re-Scheduled Appointments’ option.💡
2. Change Date & Time from the Update Appointment Window;
Double-click on the appointment in the schedule to open the ‘Update Appointment’ window. Here you can adjust the date and time of the appointment. Select ‘Update’ when finished.
4. Deleting Appointments
Double-click on the appointment to open the ‘Update Appointment’ window. At the bottom of the window, you’ll see the commands; UPDATE, COPY, CUT, CANCEL APPT, DELETE APPT and CLOSE.
💡 Select ‘Delete Appt’ if you would like to remove the appointment completely from the schedule. Select ‘Cancel Appt’ if you would like to mark the appointment status as cancelled, but leave it visible on the schedule.💡
