In Avaros, a patient profile cannot be completely deleted. It will always be available to view even if created in error as it is a part of your clinic's medical record. You can however, inactivate a patient so they don't appear in any searches therefore reducing clutter.
To inactive a patient, begin by going into their master record and scrolling down the the section called 'Clinic Status'. You will have to select the 'Edit Record' button in the top right corner before making any edits. When in edit mode, change the patient's status to 'Inactive' using the drop-down menu in this section.
Be sure to click 'Update Record' to save your changes. Now the patient will no longer appear in any clinic searches.
Re-Activating a Patient
A patient can always be re-activated by going to 'Search Patient' at the top of your schedule display → Entering the patient's name in the search bar and searching for them within all inactive patients by selecting 'Inactive'.
Once you have found the inactive patient, you can enter their master record by clicking 'M' and scroll down the the section called 'Clinic Status'. You will have to select the 'Edit Record' button in the top right corner before making any edits. When in edit mode, change the patient's status back to 'Active' using the drop-down menu.
Be sure to click 'Update Record' when finished.
