How to Temporarily Disable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
As an Ocean Site user, you can temporarily disable the Two-Factor Authentication requirement for your site.
To do so follow these steps:
- Log in to the Ocean Portal https://ocean.cognisantmd.com/.
- Click your name in the top-right corner and select My Account.
- Under the Account Information section, click Disable Two Factor Authentication.
- Enter your Ocean account password and the 6-digit authentication code from your authenticator app.
- Click Disable to confirm.
Note: If your Ocean site has mandatory Two-Factor Authentication enforced at the site level, an Ocean Admin will need to turn this off first.
How to Turn-Off Mandatory Two-Factor Authentication in Ocean
In order to turn this function off you will need to be an admin user for the Ocean site, once logged into Ocean you can navigate as follows:
- Select Menu > Admin > Site Features
- Set Two Factor Authentication to "Optional for all Users" before having users disable this on an individual account.
- Select Save Changes in the bottom right when done.
