Now that your Ocean account is linked to Avaros, you can send your first eReferral. 

1. Open the patient's eChart, and ensure they have synced to Ocean successfully by noting their unique Ocean ID number in the Ocean toolbar.

If the patient has not been synced to Ocean, you will see Ocean ID field is blank.

2. Expand the Ocean toolbar in the eChart and select the 'Refer' button. 

This will launch the Ocean Health Map where you can search for the target service you are referring to, fill out the required eReferral information and send it off.

3. Once the referral is completed, you can close the Ocean Health Map tab and return to the patient's eChart. Refresh the eChart, and you will now see an entry in the consultation tile for your newly created consultation. Clicking on this consultation entry will display the details of the referral in a new tab.

4. To add an attachment to an Ocean eReferral, click on the referral of interest listed under the 'Consultations' tile in the patient's eChart. Scroll to the bottom of the referral details page to choose a file from your computer or from the patient's chart.
